mTouche taps into Southeast Asian, Hong Kong digital advertising market

PETALING JAYA: Mobile value-added services and digital media marketing firm mTouche Technology Bhd has inked a comprehensive master collaboration partnership agreement with Advanced Platform Sdn Bhd to tap into the digital media advertising market in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

mTouche said in a statement that both companies will make significant mutual commitments and investments in technology, product development and go-to-market efforts for a proprietary and innovative digital media, and infotainment platform to the IT and mobile channel.

The alliance is expected to deliver a continuous stream of services offerings over the next 18 months, with the first wave slated for a phased release during the fourth quarter of 2017.

The market value of the digital media advertising space in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippine, Singapore and Hong Kong is estimated at US$2.69 billion (RM11.5 billion) , according to a research done by eMarketer in collaboration with IAB Singapore.

The collaboration is expected to contribute positively to its mTouche’s earnings for the financial year ending June 30, 2018 onwards and will allow the company to stay competitive in the mobile value added services and digital media marketing industry.

At market close yesterday, mTouche’s share price saw a sharp drop of 17 sen or 25% to 51 sen on some 1.91 million shares traded, for a market capitalisation of RM64.95 million.
